EWRB CPD: the competence programme for electrical workers

In New Zealand, registered electrical workers complete a competence programme every two years to renew their practising licence. It's made up of e-learning modules on the Electrical Workers Registration Board's CPD portal and a course with a training provider.

Where Howio fits

Howio is independent of the Electrical Workers Registration Board, and courses on Howio aren't part of the competence programme.

  • If you run an electrical business

The competence programme comes round every two years. Howio is for the training in between: how your business does testing, isolation and installs, shown the same way to everyone, with a record of who's completed it.

  • If you run courses for electrical workers

Howio gives training providers and associations a way to deliver learning on a phone, run assessments and keep completion records. We can show you how a national trade regulator does this for its own CPD.
