Create an API token

Make a token so another tool, like the Claude MCP server, can work with how.io as you.

An API token lets another tool work with how.io as you, for example the Claude MCP server.

  1. Go to Settings → Account.
  2. Under API tokens, choose Generate token and give it a name.
  3. Copy the token into the other tool.

A token has your role and permissions. The list shows when each one was created, last used and when it expires. Choose Revoke to stop a token working. Revoking a token doesn't sign you out.
